MANAGE HEAT AND DROUGHT
BrettYoung is the only Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance (TWCA) Class A member in Canada, and we’ve introduced drought tolerant (DT) varieties proven to perform in many different markets in Canada. The new varieties of DT bluegrasses don’t just look good – they can stay green longer, with less water than most standard varieties. On golf course rough areas in more moderate climates, consider over-seeding with a DT tall fescue. Reducing irrigation in these areas can also reduce your energy costs, labour and wear-and-tear on equipment.

REDUCE RELIANCE ON POOR-QUALITY IRRIGATION WATER
A DT variety can help protect soil structure in areas with poor-quality irrigation water. You’ll minimize the amount of bicarbonates, sodium, salts and other minerals that may be affecting soil structure and nutrient availability. Water less with TWCA to help minimize irrigation impact on your rootzones.
